What might academic writing with AI-tools such as ChatGPT look like in the future? We're offering support in approaching this most recent question:

For students

  • Starting in the comming summer semester, you can ask our peer-tutors your questions about AI in writing in a writing consultation.
  • In our current program for the summer semester, you can find the workshops "AI Writing Tools in the Writing Process" or the German equivalent "Nutzung von KI-Schreib-Tools im Schreibprozess".

For teachers

  • We expanded our program of seminar-integrated trainings for the comming summer semester and added the trainings "Maintaining Academic Integrity in the AI-integrated Writing Process" and the German equivalent "KI-Schreib-Tools: Einbindung in den Schreibprozess mit Blick auf akademische Integrität". Registration is open until March 24, 2023.
  • On April 19, the Online-Lehrlabor "ChatGPT als Herausforderung und Chance. Was macht die KI mit dem Schreiben?" (German only) will take place via Zoom (Meeting-Raum). No registration required.
  • We created a compact handout (German only) including important information and handy tips on using AI writing-tools in teaching.

In our student writing consultations we offer individual, professional support for all kinds of writing projects and for all students at Goethe University. You can meet with us at any stage of the writing process; whether you need to find a research question, would like feedback on a nearly finished draft, or need regular consultations as you write your thesis or dissertation, we are there for you. Make an appointment today!
