Writing at the university is a complex endeavor. Academic writing is its own specialized form of knowledge production, a process that involves developing, testing, and presenting ideas and arguments persuasively, while drawing on existing research. Learning this new form of writing with its various steps (planning, research, literature evaluation, writing, and revising) as a student is enriching, but brings with it many challenges.
