Eine begrenzte Zahl an Laptops mit Grundausstattung zur digitalen Teilhabe für max. ein Semester. Die Geräte sind funktionsbereit und ausgestattet mit Web-Cam, Mikrofon sowie Dockingstation. Windows 11 ist vorinstalliert. Weitere Software-Pakete, die zum Online-Studieren notwendig sind, können kostenfrei selbst nachinstalliert werden (siehe Link unten). Des Weiteren können auch Tablets (Samsung S6 Lite) ausgeliehen werden.

Antragsberechtigt sind Angehörige der Goethe-Universität, die einen besonderen Bedarf für eine digitale Grundausstattung begründen können. Studentische Anfragen werden mit höherer Priorität behandelt, insbesondere die Anfragen von Studienanfänger*innen.

• Dazu musst du dich in OLAT "Semesterlaptop" einschreiben,
• die Fragen zum Antrag beantworten und warten, bis eine Entscheidung getroffen wurde.
• Dann wird die Terminvergabe für dich geöffnet.

Wenn du einen positiven Bescheid zur Laptopleihe erhalten hast, erhältst du einen Terminvorschlag zur Übergabe und Ausleihe. Derzeit wird die Ausleihe über das Zentrum Naturwissenschaften und das Büro des Goethe Orientierungsstudiums am Campus Riedberg abgewickelt.

Da nur eine begrenzte Zahl an Laptops angeboten werden kann, solltest du nur dann einen Antrag stellen, wenn du wirklich keine andere Möglichkeit hast, dich mit der notwendigen technischen Ausstattung für das digitale Studium zu versorgen. Das heißt, dann wenn:

• Du dir aktuell einfach keine passende technische Ausstattung leisten kannst und entweder gar nicht oder nur mit einem Smartphone am digitalen Lehrangebot teilnehmen kannst.
• Dich die Anschaffung eines Laptops oder Computers aus eigenen Mitteln vor enorme finanzielle Herausforderungen stellen würde.
• Du nicht auf anderweitige Unterstützung zurückgreifen kannst (z. B. Unterstützung durch Eltern und Familie, Nebenjobs, ...).

Weiterhin werden Anträge in folgenden Fällen priorisiert:

• Deine Pendelzeit zur Uni ist länger als 60 min (einfacher Weg, nur Hin- oder nur Rückweg)
• Du hast eigene Kinder und/oder pflegebedürftige Angehörige
• Du bist Studienanfänger*in
• Du belegst in diesem Semester Lehrveranstaltungen, welche die digitale Abgabe von Texten (Übungen, Berichten, Protokollen, ...) oder Ähnlichem fordern.
• Du stehst vor deiner Abschlussarbeit und brauchst einen Rechner, um sie zu verfassen.

2. Antrag stellen! Bei Fragen bitte Semesterlaptop kontaktieren.
3. Du erhältst eine E-Mail, ob dein Antrag angenommen wird, mit Terminoption(en) im OLAT "Semesterlaptop", um das Gerät abzuholen.
4. Du wählst eine Terminoption und erscheinst zum Termin mit Goethe-Card und evtl. weiteren Nachweisen.
5. Dir wird ein funktionstüchtiger Laptop ausgehändigt.
6. Du quittierst den Empfang.

1. Du erhältst in der Regel einen Laptop mit Windows 10 / Core-i5 / 256 GB Festplatte (Linux Ubuntu steht auf Anfrage begrenzt zur Verfügung) oder ein Tablet Samsung S6 Lite. Bitte gib vor dem Abholtermin deinen Wunsch an!
2. Prüfe, ob dein Gerät funktioniert. Sollte die Hardware defekt sein, schreibe umgehend eine E-Mail, damit wir das Problem zeitnah lösen können.
3. Installiere weitere Software, die du benötigst. Hilfreich könnte die Software-Website des HRZ sein.
4. Das Zentrum Naturwissenschaften übernimmt den Verleih der Laptops, ist aber kein IT-Support. Deswegen wendet euch bitte bei Software- und Account-Fragen an das HRZ.

1. Du machst einen Termin in der OLAT-Terminvergabe aus. Der Abgabetermin ist spätestens zum Leihfristende (Semesterende), frühere Abgaben sind erwünscht, denn andere können das Gerät genauso gut gebrauchen wie du.
2. Du sicherst alle Daten und Dateien, die wichtig für dich sind, und löschst alle persönlichen Inhalte (z. B. auch gespeicherte Zugangsdaten, Browserverläufe u. Ä.).
3. Du gibst das Gerät in gereinigtem und funktionsfähigem Zustand ab. Sollte etwas nicht mehr (richtig) funktionieren, teile uns dies per E-Mail mit. Bei grober Fahrlässigkeit behalten wir uns Regressansprüche vor.

A limited number of laptops with basic equipment for digital participation for a maximum of one semester. The devices are ready to use and equipped with a webcam, microphone and docking station. Windows 11 is preinstalled. Additional software packages required for studying online can be installed free of charge by yourself (see link below). Tablets (Samsung S6 Lite) can also be borrowed.

Members of Goethe University who can justify a special need for basic digital equipment are eligible to apply. Requests from students are treated with higher priority, in particular requests from first-year students.

• To do so, you need to enroll in OLAT "Semesterlaptop",
• answer the questions for the application and wait until a decision has been made.
• Then the appointment booking will be opened for you.

If you have received a positive decision on your laptop loan, you will receive a proposed appointment for handover and lending. Currently, lending is handled by the Center for Natural Sciences (Zentrum Naturwissenschaften) and the Goethe Orientation Studies office (Büro des Goethe Orientierungsstudiums) on the Riedberg campus.

Since only a limited number of laptops can be offered, you should only submit an application if you really have no other way of obtaining the necessary technical equipment for digital studies. That is, if:

• You currently simply cannot afford suitable technical equipment and can participate in digital teaching either not at all or only with a smartphone.
• Purchasing a laptop or computer from your own funds would pose an enormous financial challenge for you.
• You cannot fall back on other support (e.g. support from parents and family, side jobs, ...).

Furthermore, applications are prioritized in the following cases:

• Your commute to the university is longer than 60 min (one way, outbound or return only)
• You have children of your own and/or relatives in need of care
• You are a first-year student
• This semester you are taking courses that require the digital submission of texts (exercises, reports, lab protocols, ...) or similar.
• You are about to write your thesis and need a computer to do so.

1. Check: Am I eligible?
2. Submit an application! If you have questions, please contact Semesterlaptop.
3. You will receive an email stating whether your application has been accepted, with appointment option(s) in OLAT "Semesterlaptop" for picking up the device.
4. You choose an appointment option and appear at the appointment with your Goethe-Card and, if applicable, further proof.
5. You will be handed a functioning laptop.
6. You confirm receipt with your signature.

1. As a rule, you will receive a laptop with Windows 10 / Core i5 / 256 GB hard drive (Linux Ubuntu is available on request in limited numbers) or a Samsung S6 Lite tablet. Please state your preference before the pickup appointment!
2. Check whether your device works. If the hardware is defective, please write an email immediately so that we can solve the problem promptly.
3. Install any additional software you need. The HRZ software website may be helpful.
4. The Center for Natural Sciences handles the lending of the laptops, but is not IT support. Therefore, please contact the HRZ for software and account questions.

1. You book an appointment in the OLAT appointment booking . The return date is at the latest the end of the loan period (end of the semester); earlier returns are welcome, because others can use the device just as well as you.
2. You back up all data and files that are important to you and delete all personal content (e.g. also saved login credentials, browser history, etc.).
3. You return the device cleaned and in working condition. If something no longer works (properly), please let us know by email. In cases of gross negligence, we reserve the right to claim compensation.
